We Will Strengthen the Relations of Belarus with the City of Gomel |
After the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Ankara, Viktor Rybak, the Consul General to Istanbul, Aleksei Shved also visited the Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Tunç Soyer.
In the meeting where the projects which will develop cultural, economic and commercial relations between Izmir and the second largest city of Belarus, Gomel, were discussed, it has been decided to initiate the works required to make two cities as sister cities.
Aleksei Shved stated that he would be glad that Izmir will be included in the Work Days event that will last three days starting from 27 October which will be held online under the leadership of the city of Gomel. Stating that he had been in Izmir before, the Consul General said that the tourists still continue to come to Turkey even if it has been disrupted by the pandemic period.
