We are here to share your pain and pick up the pieces… |
The Mayor conveyed his condolences to Yorgos Kaminis and wished him speedy recovery by saying “We are ready to do whatever you need”.
Athens experienced one of the greatest fires of its history and the Mayor Kocaoğlu sent his condolences to Mr. Kaminis, the Mayor of Athens and said “I would like to highlight that Izmir, as your neighbor of the other side of the sea, shares your pain and it is ready do to whatever you need to pick up the pieces”.
The Mayor Kocaoğlu wrote a letter to the Mayor Kaminis and expressed his sorrow for the fire that started in Penteli and Rafina regions located nearly on 20 kilometers northeast of Athens and then spread from the forest to the residential areas within a very short period of time and killed over 80 people and added “We hope your wounded citizens will get well soon and we would like say that my heart goes out to your deceased citizens. Izmir, as your neighbor of the other side of the sea, shares the pain of Greek people and fellowship makes us ready do to whatever you need to pick up the pieces”.
