Our Athletes Racing in International Championships… |
Nine successful athletes of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality’s Youth and Sports Club will be competing in the world and European Championships in different branches.
Kerim Elyaz will be representing us in the Disabled Athletics European Grand Prix Race to be organized in France between the dates of August 28 and 30, 2019. Then, he will compete in Dubai between November 7 and 17, 2019 in the Disabled Athletics World Championship. Esra Akbulak and Simge Erensayın, two successful taekwondo athletes of the Metropolitan Municipality, will represent our country in Sweden between September 5 and 8, 2019 during the U-21 European Championship.

Mehmet Efe Özdemir and Pınar Yiğitalp, other two athletes representing the Metropolitan Municipality in the taekwondo branch, will have matches in the World Cadet Championship to be organized in Uzbekistan on August 7-10, 2019.
The athletes of Metropolitan Municipality will compete in the international arena of Disabled Boccia. Sinem Gökten, who will be attending to the Regional Open Boccia Championship to be organized in the Czech Republic on September 22-29, is one of the athletes to represent our country. Mustafa Özkan, one of the other licensed Boccia athletes of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, will compete in the Disabled Boccia European Championship to be organized in Spain on August 26 – September 1. Özkan is also a member of the Turkish National Team.
