4 Turkish naval commanders and 2 guest naval commanders from the NATO countries attended to the 2018 “Nusret Davet Drill” organized on the Aegean Sea and they visited Izmir Metropolitan Deputy Mayor Dr. Sırrı Aydoğan.
The Naval Mine Fleet’s Commander Commodore Ahmet Tunç Veyisoğlu, Training Flotilla Commodore Captain Erol Küçük, 1st Search Flotilla Commodore Captain Nuri Ecet, 2nd Search Commodore Captain Okan Gündoğdu, SNMCMG-2 Commodore Colonel Frank Maginisky and Staff lt. Colonel Georgios Polychroins were present during this visit.
The Naval Mine Fleet’s Commander Commodore Veyisoğlu noted that this drill, hosted by the Turkish Naval Forces, is an actual mine warfare drill planned and executed every year and the German Colonel Frank Maginisky mentioned that he had the opportunity of visiting Izmir for the third time and added; “Izmir Port is invaluable for NATO. Izmir is a very beautiful city; it is impossible not to be inspired.”
The Naval Mine Fleet Commodore Ahmet Tunç Veyisoğlu and SNMCMG-2 Commodore Colonel Frank Maginisky presented the alliance plates to the Deputy Mayor Dr. Sırrı Aydoğan during the visit.
