“1 Festival İzmir” ended with the “Electro Deluxe” concert that combined funk, soul and hip hop music with jazz rhythms. The people of Izmir filled Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center and, for 2.5 hours, accompanied the fast beats of the band that founded by Thomas Faure, Gael Cadoux, Arnaud Renaville and then Jeremie Coke, Vincent Payen, Bertrand Luzignant and James Copley joined the band.
James Copley, visiting Izmir for the 3rd time, said that he loves the city very much and he is pleased to be a part of such an outstanding festival in Izmir; he celebrated the 10th anniversary of Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center.
“1 Festival Izmir”, which was organized at Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center (AASSM) by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, hosted famous foreign and local performers in Izmir for a week. The Festival started with the opening performances of Nail Yavuzoğlu, Allstar Bigband, Selen Aytekin and Soner Arıca and 5 times Grammy Award winner American musician, composer, songwriter and producer Victor Wooten; “From Mevlana to Anatolian Poets” featuring Naci Özgüç, Zara, Okan Yalabık, Burcu Karadağ and Su Güneş Mıhladız and the famous percussionist Burhan Öçal-Istanbul Oriental Ensemble entertained the audience, respectively.
