CEV U20 Beach Volleyball European Championship will take place in İzmir between July 8-11. Sports fans will find the opportunity to watch the best under 20 sportspeople of European beach volleyball.

The massive championship that will take place in the Beach Volleyball Facilities in İnciraltı, will be organized between July 8 and 11, and the best sportspeople of Europe will play for the title of the champion.

For women, our country will be represented by the duos of Nur Akyüz-Sanem Baş and Irmak Gökçen-Ece Özdemir. Teams from Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Bulgaria, Norway, Greece, Slovakia, Croatia, Andorra, Russia, France, Serbia, Romania, Israel, Lithuania, Estonia, Slovenia, Denmark, Austria, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Czechia, Hungary, Italy, Ukraine, Spain and Switzerland will be present on the beach.

In U20 Europe Beach Volleyball Championship for men, the duos of Batuhan Kuru-Necmi Ayberk Güllük, Sacit Kurt-Can Ahmet and Furkan Ramazan Kaplan-Bahadır Utku Kesgin will represent our country. In men’s championship, the teams from Sweden, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Latvia, Poland, Switzerland, Israel, Austria, Ukraine, Czechia, Hungary, France, Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, Belgium, Serbia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia and Liechtenstein will play against each other.

Hakan Orhunbilge, head of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality’s Department of Youth and Sports Services stated, “We have achieved a magnificent collaboration between European Volleyball Confederation and Turkish Volleyball Federation. We will be the hosts of the fourth international beach volleyball organization in the last two years. We want İzmir to become the beach and water sports center of our country.”
