Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Wheelchair Basketball Team finished the organization in second place in the IWBF EUROCUP 2 Group A final match, by losing to Fenerbahçe Göksel Çelik 69-56. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer supported our representative team from the stands, who has  entitled to participate in the EUROCUP-3 final group to be held in Yalova. Fenerbahçe Göksel Celik, in the first match of IWBF (International Wheelchair Basketball Federation) EUROCUP 2 Group A, in İzmir, defeated Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Club 69-56 and came in first in the group. While Fenerbahçe will participate in the EUROCUP 2 finals in Spain, İzmir BBSK, who came in second place, will also participate in the EUROCUP 3 final group to be held in Yalova on April 27-30. Although İzmir BBSK finished the first period of the match with a 21-17 advantage; Fenerbahce was ahead 38-29 at the half. By finishing the third period ahead 59-39, Fenerbahçe won the match 69-56.

The Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality,Tunç Soyer who attended the award ceremony, gave commemorative gifts to the winning teams in the tournament. Rıdvan Aksoy (İzmir BBSK), Ahmet Efetürk (İzmir BBSK), İsmail Ar (F.Bahçe Göksel Çelik), ZouhairChallat (MeylanGrenoble), SzymonGladysz (OrtoMedicoScyzoryKielce), who were elected to the All Star Team of the tournament, got their awards from Soyer. A plaque of appreciation was presented to the organization delegates of 11 people, at the dinner which is behalf of the teams at Karaca Hotel.
