İzmir International Portrait Caricature Festival has been held for the second time this year, in the direction of İzmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer. Mayor Soyer targets to make İzmir a city of culture and art. The Vice President, Mustafa Özuslu attended the prize – giving ceremony. 26 artists from 14 countries also participated in this prize - giving ceremony.
“You have affected the people of İzmir”
Özuslu who spoke at the program of the Historical Coal Gas Factory Cultural Center, said “ You have affected the people of İzmir. You actually object to the art you perform. You resist, you are an opponent and you alter. As İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, we hope that art will affect the people. You can play theater in the halls, you can do a puppet show. However, doing this art in the village square or on the streets of a city brings about a much more impressive result. Remember, we healed with people making music on the balconies, on the streets; on the worst day of the epidemic, when it was on the rise. The art has such a beautiful nature. As long as there is art, there will be hope.”

The artists made a surprise to Vice President Özuslu, after the plaque and reward presentation. Özuslu caricature, which was drawn by Peter Zsoldos, was delivered to him. The Vice President Özuslu, said that he was very pleased and thanked him.
