İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club competed with 240 athletes in 13 disciplines in March. Athletes represented İzmir in various sports, including table tennis, athletics, judo, ice skating, taekwondo, and archery.
The club competed for points, trophies, and medals with 266 athletes and coaches in 11 different cities. Ten national judo athletes participated in the European Cups in Montenegro and Antalya. The İzmir Duathlon took place on March 15-16 in Sasalı, featuring running and cycling stages.
The basketball team aimed to return to the Turkish Basketball Second League. The women’s volleyball team started the season on March 10. The women’s handball team fought for a playoff advantage in the Super League, while the men’s handball team played crucial matches.
The amputee football team played three matches in the Super League. The women’s water polo team remained undefeated. The ice-skating team aimed for the podium at the Turkish Championship. Athletes also competed in national championships in athletics, taekwondo, archery, table tennis, and para shooting.
