Stüdyo Kültürpark Hosts a Music Group from Kazakhstan
“Stüdyo Kültürpark,” launched by Dr. Cemil Tugay, Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, to promote equal opportunities among young musicians, recently hosted SAİKESTİK, a music group formed by students from Kazakhstan. The young musicians, who expressed their satisfaction with access to professional equipment, carried out their rehearsals at the studio.
The free music-recording studio, opened in December 2025 under the name Stüdyo Kültürpark, has filled a significant gap in the city. Drawing strong interest since its opening, the center offers recording opportunities with professional equipment and welcomes musicians of all ages and genres, from rap to folk music. Members of the Kazakhstan-based student group SAİKESTİK, who came to İzmir for their studies, rehearsed at Stüdyo Kültürpark.

“We really liked it, it has all the equipment”
Zhaina Dastankyzy, the lead vocalist of SAİKESTİK, expressed her satisfaction with their music activities in İzmir. Noting that they study at Dokuz Eylül University, Dastankyzy said: “We have a band composed of Kazakh students. We performed at the university about three months ago. Afterwards, we were told that we could come to Stüdyo Kültürpark. So we came and had the opportunity to rehearse here.” Emphasizing that they were highly impressed by the studio’s facilities, Dastankyzy added: “It is truly a very good studio; all the equipment we need is available. Since we are students, it has been a perfect opportunity for us.”

Equipped with the latest technology
The studio has been equipped with the latest technology to support young talents in realizing their dreams. With carefully designed sound insulation, the studio features world-class equipment, including Mac Studio processors, Universal Audio sound interfaces, Genelec reference monitors, Nord synthesizers, and professional drum kits. Thanks to İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, young people can access professional recording facilities—often costly in the market—free of charge. Designed as a dynamic space where young people can feel a sense of belonging, the studio serves not only as a recording facility but also as a hub for interaction.
