Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay attended the ceremony for the 110th anniversary of March 18 Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs` Remembrance Day.
The event, attended by officials, veterans' associations, and citizens, began with a wreath-laying ceremony, followed by a moment of silence, and the Turkish National Anthem. Recep Doğru, President of the Turkish War Disabled Veterans Association, emphasized the sacrifice of martyrs and the significance of the Çanakkale Victory.
Following prayers, attendees visited the graves, leaving flowers. Mayor Tugay placed carnations on the martyrs’ graves, offered prayers, and met with veterans and families of the fallen.
