İZFAŞ introduced the new vision for its fashion fairs at a launch event held at Fuar İzmir. The event presented the goals, innovations and sectoral contributions of three major fairs: İzmir Bridal Week, which will be held for the first time this year, the ninth edition of Fashion Prime – Textile, Ready-to-Wear Suppliers and Technologies Expo, and IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – Bridal Gowns, Groom Suit and Evening Wear Fair, which is preparing to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
The launch, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ, brought together representatives of chambers, unions and associations, sector leaders, manufacturers and designers. Speaking at the event, İZFAŞ General Manager Tuğçe Cumalıoğlu emphasized that İzmir is one of the world’s leading centers for the bridal wear, groom wear and evening wear sector. She noted that the city stands out internationally thanks to its strong manufacturing culture, design capacity, well-developed supply industry and export strength. She stated that İZFAŞ does not view fairs solely as commercial organizations, but rather as powerful platforms that contribute to the development of sectors, pave the way for new collaborations, and showcase the city's potential to the world. She emphasized the importance of the three complementary fairs focused on the fashion sector.
A Structure Connecting Design, Manufacturing and International Trade
Highlighting that the fairs collectively address the diverse needs of the fashion sector, Cumalıoğlu said:
“To support İzmir’s strong expertise in this field and enhance the sector’s international competitiveness, we organize three complementary fairs. With these three fairs, we are establishing a strong structure that extends from design to production, and from production to international trade. Through Fashion Prime, we support production infrastructure and supply chains; through İzmir Bridal Week, we highlight design and collection potential; and through IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, we strengthen international trade and brand visibility.”
Fashion Prime to Open Its Doors for the Ninth Time
Cumalıoğlu noted that Fashion Prime, which will be held for the ninth time on 21–23 October 2026, will continue to bring together fabric, accessories and sub-industry companies with sector professionals. She stated that the fair contributes to the establishment of new business connections and the strengthening of the sector’s production infrastructure.
İzmir Bridal Week to Be Held for the First Time
Cumalıoğlu mentioned that İzmir Bridal Week, scheduled for 24–26 November 2026, was developed in response to sector demand. She stated that the event will serve as the first platform where new-season bridal wear, groom wear and evening wear collections are introduced, making the sector’s creative strength more visible.
Cumalıoğlu stated that they believe İzmir Bridal Week will create new opportunities for brands and add significant value to İzmir's fashion calendar, emphasizing that the organization will strengthen the design and collection side of the sector.
IF Wedding Fashion İzmir to Celebrate Its 20th Anniversary
Cumalıoğlu also noted that IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, which will be held for the 20th time on 19–22 January 2027, will continue to serve as the international showcase of the sector. She stated that, with two decades of experience, the fair has successfully promoted the manufacturing strength of both İzmir and Türkiye in the bridal wear
, groom wear and evening wear sectors to global markets.
Cumalıoğlu emphasized that İZFAŞ will continue to create value through its fairs, facilitate new collaborations and connect İzmir’s potential with the world.
During the event, İZFAŞ Fairs Director Yeşim Yiğit delivered a presentation outlining the scope, objectives, promotional activities, participant support mechanisms and future plans for Fashion Prime, İzmir Bridal Week and IF Wedding Fashion İzmir.
