İzmir Metropolitan Municipality has introduced another initiative to encourage people of all ages to participate in social and cultural life. During the summer, the Ice Sports Hall at Bornova Aşık Veysel Recreation Area continues to host sports and cultural events following the temporary removal of its ice rink. As part of the program, the municipality is now offering a free Balkan Folk Dances course for residents aged 18 to 50.
Applications are now open for the course, which will introduce participants to the vibrant world of Balkan folk dances. Anyone interested in dancing and discovering a new culture can register free of charge through the Spor İzmir mobile app. Applications will remain open until July 12, and classes will begin on July 13. Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays in two separate groups from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
