IMATECH -Industrial Production Technologies Fair, which brings together the machinery and production sectors, opened its doors in Fuar İzmir. IMATECH, one of the biggest meetings of the machinery industry, is organized on a total area of 50 thousand square meters in two halls, growing over 100 percent with the intense interest of the sector. 

IMATECH - Industrial Production Technologies Fair, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with İZFAŞ and İzgi Fuarcılık and supported by 4M Fuarcılık, opened its doors with a ceremony at Fuar İzmir. The opening ceremony was attended by Murat Aydın, Deputy Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality; Cenk Karace, Chairman of the Board of Directors of İzmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone; İbrahim Gökçüoğlu, Chairman of the Assembly of the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry; Ömer Gökhan Tuncer, Chairman of the Assembly of the İzmir Commodity Exchange; Mirsad Jasarspahic, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Yücel Kar, Deputy General Manager of İZFAŞ; Mustafa Kemal Hızarcıoğlu, Founding Partner of İzgi Fuarcılık; executives of chambers and non-governmental organizations; industrialists and sector representatives.

"It is not a coincidence that this is a city of fairs"

Speaking at the ceremony, Murat Aydın, Deputy Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, stated that it is not a coincidence that İzmir is the city of fairs and said, "İzmir has always been a center of industry and trade due to its geographical location and historical roots, and in this sense, it has been a gateway to the world through fairs. İzmir is the largest city in a region that endeavors to open, sell and distribute the riches of the Aegean Region to the world. As İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer said, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality will continue to wholeheartedly support exhibition activities to further increase the integration of İzmir, the westernmost port city of the east and the easternmost port city of the west, with the world." 

Stating that especially technology fairs are important in terms of opening other windows and bringing other ideas to the fore, Aydın said: "These fairs that bring us together with other people and other producers are important and valuable in terms of showing that there are other doors and that someone is trying to produce something with free thought. I would like to thank all of you, İZFAŞ and the other fair organizations in cooperation for your contribution and value to this fair. I hope that it will be instrumental in producing better works and take us one step further and every work we do will take us one step further."

It is important that it is organized in İzmir

Cenk Karace, Chairman of the Board of Directors of İzmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone, said: "We support this fair with our 55 thousand employees and companies, we care about this fair. It is much more important to be in contact with companies here rather than constantly moving to Istanbul for fairs. I think that the fair will develop further in the coming years. Like you, I am looking forward to the industrial technology systems that we will see at the stands today, and I wish the fair to be productive for our industry and manufacturers."

We are witnessing that Türkiye is strongly developing its economy with local wisdom and investing in the development of new technologies that will enable it to develop further and have a bright future. The best example of this is today's fair, where we will have the opportunity to see all these in one place. There is a business delegation consisting of 15 companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina here with me today. Therefore, it is necessary to state once again that this fair is an excellent opportunity for the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina." 

İzmir is the 2nd largest exporter

There are 130 exhibitor companies

More than 130 domestic and foreign exhibitors and more than 250 brands of these companies meet with professional visitors at the fair, which is also attended by companies from Germany, the United States of America, Australia, Belgium, Belgium, China, Canada, Poland and Taiwan and their representative offices in Türkiye. More than 100 professional buyers from many countries such as the Netherlands, Egypt, Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France and Russia are participating in the hosted buyer program organized within the scope of the fair. It is expected that bilateral meetings, hosted buyer program and commercial agreements will be signed with the potential it will reveal, and that many machines will be sold and exports will be contributed. At the fair, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about machines and systems, discover new products, services and technologies, and compare the quality of products and services. The products and services in the fair will also help visitors to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of their businesses. It is aimed to grow the sector with the potential arising from the fair, to contribute to the city economy in the long term and to enable the emergence of new investment opportunities.
