Greece Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs is Our Guest |
Greece Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Amanatidis made a surprise visit to Mayor Kocaoğlu within the frame of Fener Greek Patriarch Bartholomeos’ programme who attended Saint Vukolos Feast. Greece Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Amanatidis brought regards from sister city Mayor Butaris and invited Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu to Athens. Though it is not in the official programme, Amanatidis stated that he wanted to meet Mayor Kocaoğlu and said “I could not come back to Athens before I met Metropolitan Municipality Mayor.”
Greece Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Amanatidis thanked Mayor Kocaoğlu for his assistance to believers of different religions and added “If same point of view would have been provided in the world, there would not be the depressions which are experienced today.”
Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu wished that the relationship between Izmir and Greece would be rewarding for both countries and reminded their visit on 19th-20th February in Thesselonike and said that he will be pleased to see Amanatidis there.
Mayor Kocaoğlu and Acting Minister Amanitidis made a communion related to the conflicts and refugee problem in Middle East. Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Amanatidis is accompanied with a committee Ambassador Kyriakos Loukakis and Izmir Ambassador Thedore Tsakiris.
