“City College Project” of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has been “one of the best 12 projects” which is included in model applications book of EUROCITIES’ (European City Network) which has more than 130 members.
 
EUROCITIES (European City Network) which Izmir Metropolitan Municipality  has been member since 2008, collected into a book best 12 project application which are developed against city problems of local governments. In the book which is prepared with the headline “Developing Inclusive Labor Market in Local Level” to share with AB foundations and other cities, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality’s City College also took part. 
In the book which is prepared by EUROCITIES that has more than 130 members, in Izmir’s part, brief information is given about the city and it is also stated that between 2006-2014 years period related to Izmir Metropolitan Municipality organized IZMEB (Vocational and Skill Courses) courses which aims at especially youth, women and low income groups and since 2015 IZMEB has been renewed structurally and has become “Izmir City College Project” for Izmir’s unemployment problem.  
 
It is also emphasized in the book that through the project unemployment in Izmir is aimed to decrease and to supply qualified staff that is demanded by prior sectors and developing the entrepreneurship.
 
Barcelona (Spain) : “Labora” project in collaboration with public service – private sector for unemployed people who are especially under social exclusion threat. 
Essen (Germany): “Professor Eggers Course” project which aims at developing mentally challenged young adults to improve their employment and independence to gain school diploma.
 
Gent (Belgium): “Work Connection” project which aims at integration in labor market with extensive social support to immigrants from East Europe. 
Göteborg (Sweden): “PUZZLE” project which aims at employment of disabled young people 
Helsinki (Finland): “Shortcuts to Immigrant Employment” project which aims at giving employments to immigrants with language courses, test periods and financial supported employment programmes.
 
Madrid (Spain): “Neighborhood Employment Plans” project which includes integrated employment precautions for sensitive groups in city’s specific regions. 
Nacka (Sweden): “Coupon Project for Works” aiming at finding solutions for unemployment and social exclusion and increasing qualifications. 
Newcastle (England): “Skill Mill” project which is organized by collaboration of  public, private and third sectors for convicted young people, their social inclusiveness and career opportunities. 
 
Preston (England): “Citizenship Region” project for employment opportunites in regions in poverty through mobile service centers. 
Tampere (Finland): “Supported Apprenticeship” project aiming at attending immigrants whose apprencticeship education to labor market 
Tilburg (Holland): “Work experience grants” which includes youth working experience grant programme and foreman experience
