Uruguay Former Head of State Jose Mujica who is well known for being “The most modest government president”, is drawn the most considerable interest in Izmir. Since many people poured along and the place has not been enough, giant screen have been set for Izmir people who have come for Mujica Interview held in Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center.  
 
Uruguay Former Head of State Jose Mujica has come to Izmir within the programme which have been arranged in collaboration with Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and Konak Municipality, the moderator was journalist and writer Ece Temelkuran, the theme was “We can prevent poverty with support”; he shared his experiences in the interview. He gave important messages of social peace and the right to live. 
People of Izmir have shown great interest for the meeting which has been hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu. When the audience did not go into the center of 1100 seats, two giant screens are set outside for people and Mujica’s interview was shown on screens lively. 
 
The row headers from Mujica’s speech are as follows:
“Happiness is possible with small things. A man who is not happy with small things can never be happy with anything.”
“Live by feelings. The life itself is an award. There will be no other awards for life. I did not accept the Nobel Peace Prize, because there is no peace in world, how dare they can offer such a prize.”
“It is also essential to defend the governments which I do not like but some people want. Every nation has to be free for solving its own matters. Nobody can use force on anybody in the matter of freedom. They have to learn how to live together.”
