3rd proposal of sister city from China to Izmir |
The comittee under the leadership of People’s Republic of China Chengdu Municipality Vice Mayor visited Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.
Chengdu Municipality Vice Mayor Fu Yonglin, Chengdu Metropolitan Foreign Affairs and International Affairs Vice President Lu Weiliang, Chengdu Commerce Commission President Zhang Jinquan, Investment Incentive Commission President Chen Bing and Tourism Province Director Chen Shian are welcomed by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Vice Mayor Dr. Sırrı Aydoğan.
Chengdu Municipality Vice Mayor stated that Izmir is a very beautiful city and added that they want to improve the commercial and cultural affairs between two cities and be sister cities with Izmir. Yonglin said; “When I first came to Izmir and stare at the gulf, I remembered survival of Izmir by Homeros words. I am very glad to be here. Everybody in the world are brothers and sisters. We need to improve our friendships.”
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Vice Mayor Dr. Sırrı Aydoğan declared that their relationship with People’s Republic of China is very good and added that the trading volume between China and Turkiye increase day by day. “We will be pleased to see the affairs developing between two cities.” He said.
