Zengxian said farewell to Izmir |
Liu Zengxian, the Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Izmir, paid a farewell visit to Izmir Metropolitan Municipality because the consulate-general is closed temporarily and his term of office in Izmir has ended.
The Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu was the host of this visit and the Consul-General said he is going to miss the city of Izmir a lot and this city has left pleasant and deep marks in this memories.
He noted that China and Izmir built good relationships following the establishment of the Consulate-General in Izmir in 2015 thanks to the support of Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu. “I am going to continue telling this story after I return to China. I am glad to be a bridge between Izmir and China. Both parties worked very hard for the business, cultural and tourism relationships with Izmir Metropolitan Municipality” said the Consul-General Liu Zengxian.
The Metropolitan Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu expressed his gratitude to Liu Zengxian, who established a friendship with him in a short time, for his contribution in improving the relationships between the two countries.
In addition to several cultural events, the Consul-General hosted the Chengdu City Culture and Arts Group which performed Acrobatic Shows, Sichuan Opera, Muppet Dance and Classic Dance shows during the “Happy Spring Festival” celebrations organized at Ahmed Adnan Saygun Arts Center.
