Support from China to earthquake victims |
The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ankara donated aid materials amounting to US$ 20 thousand to contribute to Izmir solidarity after the earthquake occurred on October 30.
51 washing machines and 51 dishwashers purchased to be distributed to the earthquake victims in Izmir on behalf of the Chinese nation have been delivered to the authorities of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. They also contributed to the struggle with epidemic by sending mask to Izmir during the pandemic process.
Wang Xinghua, Chairman of the Chinese Immigrants Association in Izmir, who delivered the aid materials, also conveyed the consolation letter submitted by Liu Shaobin, Chinese Ambassador to Ankara, to Tunç Soyer, the Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Stating that the friendship and cooperation between the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ankara and Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will increasingly continue in the following period, Mayor Tunç Soyer forwarded his appreciation for their solidarity in these difficult times.
