Tunç Soyer, Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, attended the program organized by the Küçük Kulüp Foundation where the consuls serving in the city were hosted.
The meeting, hosted by Emre Sarıgedik, Chairman of Küçük Kulüp Foundation, and Kemal Çolakoğlu, Chairman of the Council Board, was attended by the Mayor Tunç Soyer's wife Neptün Soyer, Naciye Gökçen Kaya, Izmir Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador, Dr. Detlev Wolter, Consul General of Germany to İzmir, Mioara Stefan, Consul General of Romania, Despoina Balkiza, Consul General of Greek, Valerio Giorgio, Consul of Italy, Zeliha Toprak, Honorary Consul of France and her husband Muharrem Toprak, José Maria Queiros, Director of Izmir French Cultural Center, and the members of the Board of Küçük Kulüp Foundation.
Mayor Soyer said, "We know that we are very lucky as we live in Izmir. Izmir has an extraordinarily great potential. However, knowing and using this potential are two different things. A city withdrawing into its shell cannot have a future. I would like to thank all the consuls who share this heritage of humanity with their countries and serve here. Mayor Soyer also presented gramophones produced by potters from Menemen to the guests.
