Visit From Chinese Ambassador |
Liu Shaobin, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ankara, visited Tunç Soyer, Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. During the meeting, it was emphasized that relations between the two countries should be strengthened.
Saying that it was his first time in Izmir, Ambassador Liu Shaobin stated that Mayor Soyer has taken initiatives to strengthen the relations between the local governments of the two countries and he is happy about this. Liu Shaobin expressed “China and Turkey have an important cultural heritage. Concrete collaborations can be made between China and Izmir. We will work to bring Chinese tourists to Izmir. We will also encourage Chinese companies to do business in Izmir.”
Stating that the relations between the peoples should be strong in order for the commercial relations between the two countries to be strong, Tunç Soyer, Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality also said “The relations between the people are also strengthened with culture, art and sports. The trust to be established in these relations will strengthen the bond between states as well as commercial relations.”
