İzmir, which creates a distinctness with the vision of municipal corporation and plan of action against the climate crisis, initiated the application process within the context of the 2023 European Horizon, the call for HORIZON-MISS-2023-CIT-01-01 with a budget of 25 million euros. The honorarium to be received after the completion of the project will be used in İzmir's sustainable transportation investments. İzmir, which was selected for the European Union's Climate Neutral and Smart Cities Mission to create cities that are resilient to the threats posed by climate change, initiated the application process within the context of 2023 European Horizon, the call for HORIZON-MISS-2023-CIT-01-01 with a budget of 25 million euros. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which will make an application with the concept of "Islands of Mobility", will lead 12 different European cities during the project process.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Transportation will manage the process of the project together with TUBITAK, İzmir Chamber of Commerce, İzmir University of Economics, and İzmir Institute of Technology. In the process, more than 150 technological companies; ERTICO, a smart organization of transportation system that defines ITS industry standards in Europe, and stakeholders with various studies in the field of mobility will prepare a comprehensive project as a team. The honorarium to be received after the completion of the project, will be used in İzmir's sustainable transportation investments.
