At the meeting, there will be a budget evaluation together with the position of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities (CLRA) in the Council of Europe, the role of the Congress in the development of democratic standards and the exchanges of views on the future of the Congress.
President Soyer is the Vice President of the Assembly of Regions of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities (CLRA) of the Council of Europe and the only Council Member of the Congress from Turkey.

The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities (CLRA) of Europe has the characteristics of the organ of the Council of Europe responsible for determining local and regional policies. Representing more than 150,000 local authorities from 47 member states, the Congress prepares the conventions that set the framework for policies related to the local and regional authorities and ensures the implementation thereof. The Congress cooperates closely with the national and international organizations, including the other European institutions.
