In the General Meeting between 26-28 October, the issues determined at the Bureau meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe held in Visegrad town, Hungary on October 4-5 will be discussed. Within this scope, many agenda topics will be evaluated, especially the issues such as returning to normal life from the pandemic, cooperation between cities and local authorities for a better regional integration, and developing lifelong education models to facilitate the employment of young generations.
Cooperation models will be discussed between Frankfurt and Izmir
President Soyer will have many important meetings with the notables of the city, especially Frankfurt Mayor Peter Feldmann and Republic of Turkey Consul General of Frankfurt Erdem Tunçer on 26 and 27 October and will attend the reception of the 21st International Turkish Film Festival held in Frankfurt.
The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities (CLRA) of Europe
The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities (CLRA) of Europe, which is the organ of the Council of Europe responsible for determining local and regional policies, works on the pursuit of the fields such as increasing the role of local communities in European integration and ensuring that democratic standards are implemented locally within the framework of international norms as well as the development of human rights, superiority of law and protection of fundamental freedoms. CLRA represents more than 150,000 local authorities from 47 member states in Europe.
