Finnish Ambassador Visited İzmir |
Ari Pekka Maki, the Ambassador of Finland in Ankara, and the accompanying delegation visited Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.
Izmir Metropolitan Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu received Ari Pekka Maki, the Ambassador of Finland in Ankara, as well as Mehmet Ali Molay, the Honorary Consul in Izmir, and Ahmet Bütün, the Media Affairs Coordinator of the Consulate in his office. Ways of improving the relationships between Finland and Izmir were discussing during this visit. The Finnish Ambassador mentioned that this is his first visit in Izmir and underlined the possible cooperation between Izmir and Finland for improving and increasing the business treaties. The Ambassador Ari Pekka Maki explained that he is very ambitious about improving the relationship with Izmir and writing a success story.
“We can kick start the process by increasing the number of tourists traveling between Izmir and Finland” said Izmir Metropolitan Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu.
Mehmet Ali Molay, the Honorary Consul in Izmir, highlighted how agriculture is important for Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer and added: “The agricultural operations might be a tool for establishing a business connection with Finland”.
