Farewell visit to Soyer from the Greek Consul General in Izmir |
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer hosted Despoina Balkiza, the Greek Consul General to Izmir, whose term of office expired.
Despoina Balkiza, Consul General of Greece in Izmir, whose term of office has ended, paid a farewell visit to Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer. Mayor Soyer, who hosted Despoina Balkiza in his office, stated that the Consul General provided good services to the city and said, “It was nice working with you. You left unforgettable traces in Izmir. Your work in the city is very valuable,” he said.
Bilateral dialogue improved relations between cities
Despoina Balkiza, on the other hand, stated that they carried out important works with Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer and said, “The relations between Thessaloniki and Izmir have improved. Our bonds have been strengthened. Mytilene expeditions began. We always want to support you and work together.” Despoina Balkiza also offered the Sweet Yeast Bread he brought to the Mayor Soyer.
