Spain’s news agency EFE, served a news article titled “Turkey prepares for subdued Ramadan in lockdown” by Ilya U. Topper and Doğan Tılıç. The article explains “İftar Meal” project of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and included the statement of Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer “we developed a technological iftar. With one click on the municipal website (www.bizizmir.com) you can donate 20 liras (about 3 euros), and we complete the sum from the city council to send a package of two dinners to someone in need, on behalf of the donor.” The article took place in web sites of leading news outlets such as La Vanguardia and Puplico.

After paying transport fee, citizens can obtain 5 masks and 100 ml disinfectant free of charge from maskmatics located in metro stations by Metropolitan Municipality to facilitate access to medical masks during the pandemic.
