Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu received the Tourism and Environment Minister of Zimbabwe and Tamer Taşkın, the Honorary Consul of South Africa in Izmir, at Fuar Izmir venue.

The Minister Mupfumira came to the exhibition’s opening ceremony and told the Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu that Izmir is very beautiful and people are very friendly and good humored and added “I never felt like a stranger in this city”. The visiting Minister mentioned that they participated to the Travel Turkey for promoting their country, which is open for all business opportunities, in Turkey and all around the world and invited the exhibitors to its country. “Zimbabwe is one of the seven wonders of the World. We offer wild life. We have lions, elephants, rhinos as well as places right in the middle of the nature that are worth seeing. You must definitely see this beauty.” said the Minister Mupfumira.

The Honorary Consul Tamer Taşkın mentioned that the extraordinary wild life in Africa was the inspiration of these statues and added that he has been carefully building up this collection for years with animal figurines from the wild nature of Africa.

Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu noted that these statues will add zest to the Wilde Life Park and that the statues are excellent gifts for Izmir Wild Life Park celebrating its 10th anniversary.
