African Students Visited Us |
The Board Members of the Society of African Students in Izmir visited Metropolitan Deputy Mayor Dr. Sırrı Aydoğan. The Deputy Mayor Dr. Aydoğan expressed his appreciation for the students’ visit and added “It is very significant that you came here from the African countries for education. You will improve yourself here and lead the way for your countries.”
Izmir Metropolitan Deputy Mayor continued his speech as follows:
“You are invaluable for us. We always consider you as one of us. We have always been sisters and brothers. If you want to serve your country, you have to work a lot and apply the knowledge you earned here in your country. You, as the youth, will bring dynamism into Africa.”
“In our society, we have 300 students from different universities. We help new university students and their problems. We help them during their settlement process here. Our primary goal is to be bridge between Africa and Turkey. People in Izmir are very friendly” said Makan Kebe, the General Secretary of Society of African Students in Izmir.
