Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Club Women's Handball Team left the field with a score of 29-29 in the 3rd round return match of the European Handball Federation (EHF) European Cup and added its name among the last 16 teams.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Club Women's Handball Team drew 29-29 with the Portuguese team Madeira Andebol SAD in the 3rd round return match (away game) of the European Handball Federation European Cup (EHF European Cup). Izmir team has won the first match in Izmir with a score of 28-22, thus added their name in the last 16 in Europe.
The first half of the match at Funchal Sports Hall ended 12-12. In the second half, both teams played with a great performance for the tour, the match ended in a 29-29 draw. The side that passed the tour with the advantage in the first match was Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Club.
The players got the following scores: Sibel Kıcıroğlu 7, Gülsüm Bedel 6, Ece Sözmen 5, Yeliz Özel 3, Burcu Dindar 2, Anastasiia Savaş 2, Tamara Bokaric 2, Yasemin Özgür 1, and Dilek Yılmaz 1.
