Meet Davutoğlu and Çipras in Izmir |
Thesselonike Mayor Yannis Boutaris who came to Izmir for the introduction of tourism, education and job opportunities visited Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu in his office.
During sincere visit, Thesselonike Mayor Yannis Boutaris said that he wants to come to Izmir for holiday as well, besides business affairs. He said he loves Izmir, “I feel like I am in Thesselonike. Izmir is very different. Istanbul is beautiful too, has many beautiful places. However in Izmir everything is nested and warm. If we can determine our possible collaborations between two cities, we can lead up.” Boutaris said that it will be very meaningful to gather together Greece President Aleksis Çipras and Republic of Turkey President Ahmet Davutoğlu in Izmir and added that this will make relations of two cities stronger. Moreover, Theesselonike Mayor asked detailed information about the organization, process and system operating in Turkish municipalities.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Aziz Kocaoğlu explained that to make collaborations between two cities and make projects materialize, transfer information and experience, they will visit Thesselonike in January.
