Ovine and bovine animals brought by the butchers and citizens to the slaughterhouse with the purpose of slaughtering are transferred to the slaughtering following the physical examination and certificate controls by the veterinary before the slaughtering and the ones consumption as food of which is permitted as a result of physical examination after slaughtering are stamped and offered for the consumption.
Since Halilbeyli slaughterhouse was rented before transfer to Izmir metropolitan municipality, it is operated by S.S. Halilbeyli village agricultural development cooperative and price tariff determined by the cooperative is applicable. Refrigerated vehicles are used for shipping meat as per the cold chain conditions.
Slaughtering tents are set up in certain locations of the city to ensure the slaughtering in better and healthier environments for the people in the feast of sacrifice and they are inspected
ANIMAL SLAUGHTERING PRICES AT SLAUGHTER HOUSES
Bovine (calf, cow, heifer) : 85 TL
Ovine (sheep- lamb)  :  14  TL
Ovine (Goat – kid)  : 8 TL
Bovine mandatory slaughtering: 120 TL
Ovine mandatory slaughtering : 28 TL
Carriage fee (per km) : 1 TL
 
5 TL per bovine animal and 1.20 TL per ovine animal is charged as the meadow income deduction for 2014 in accordance with the resolution of provincial meadow commission of Izmir dated 07.12.2013 and no 618.
